- 1 cup sourdough starter
- ½ tsp unrefined salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 small chopped onion
- Fresh rosemary
Instructions
- Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium-low heat, and pour ½ tablespoon of avocado oil. Caramelize the onions, whilst stirring occasionally.
- If you notice that the onions are browning too quickly, simply lower the heat and cook until golden. This should take around 15-20 minutes.
- Once the onions have caramelized, remove them from the skillet and set them aside. Preheat your cast iron skillet over medium heat, and add the remainder of the avocado oil in the skillet.
- Meanwhile, in a small mixing bowl, combine sourdough starter, salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into the skillet and cook for three minutes. While one side of the fry bread cooks, top the uncooked side with caramelized onions and fresh rosemary.
- Flip the fry bread dough to the other side, and cook for 3 additional minutes, until crisp and golden brown.
