If you love regular grilled cheese sandwiches, then why not switch the cheese taste with a sourdough option? This sourdough grilled cheese will have your taste buds singing with every bite!

  • Total Time: 20 mins
  • Yield: 1 sandwich 1x

  • 2 slices of sourdough bread
  • 3 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices of gouda cheese
  • ¼ cup shredded 3-cheese blend
  • Flakey sea salt

  1. Spread unsalted butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place a frying pan or cast iron skillet on the stove over medium-low heat.
  3. While your pan starts to heat, layer your cheeses atop the non-buttered side of one sourdough slice. Place the other sourdough slice on top, with the buttered side of the bread facing up.
  4. Place the sandwich onto the warm pan, and cook on medium-low heat, allowing the cheese to melt, while the bread sizzles until it’s a wonderful golden brown.
  5. Once golden brown, flip the sandwich and cook on the other side for a few minutes.
  6. Remove the grilled cheese sandwich from the pan, slice it in half, and enjoy.
