  3. A 50g starter is just your leavening agent and it doesn’t limit your final loaf size. What actually determines that is your recipe’s total flour and water weight (the starter is usually only 10-20% of the total dough).

    If your loaves seem small, I’d look at two things before downsizing your dutch oven:
